Abstract
In modern mobile communication systems like HSUPA higher data rates are achieved by multiplexing more code channels on the same bandwidth. For certain configurations however the adjacent channel leakage is increased, thus the standards require a power back-off for these cases. A reliable estimate for the power-back-off is the cubic metric. The large number of computations necessary for cubic metric determination can be reduced to a minimum by a versatile interpolation method. This method will be reviewed in this presentation. Furthermore it will be investigated if this method can be also efficiently applied to Cognitive Radio Networks.
