Abstract
A wideband MIMO channel model based on the use of ray clusters to describe PDP characteristics for indoor environments has been presented. A measurement campaign for an indoor 2times2 MIMO system has been performed to investigate the validity of the newly proposed model and the other models introduced earlier in the MIMO literature. By using the measured data, it has been shown that the new model provides a good agreement with one of the models, which uses both exponential decay PDP and correlation matrices to characterize the channel taps. However, another model assuming only exponential PDP shows poorer performance
