Abstract
A planar electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structure with meandered lines is proposed for mitigating simultaneous switching noise (SSN) in high-speed printed circuit boards (PCBs). Near field property of this structure is investigated and a novel concept of using this EBG structure for electromagnetic interference (EMI) reduction is introduced
