Abstract
In this paper a method using artificial neural networks (ANN) has been developed to identify the fault elements in linear array antennas. The ANN forms a mapping between the radiation pattern of the faulty array with the faulty element position. After proper training, the response time of the ANNs is very fast in identifying even the partially fault elements. The present work can also be extended for planar arrays of different kinds
