Abstract
Effect of phosphate on passive state of biomaterials (with and without hydroxyapatite) in Ringer 2 solutions (phosphate being present) was investigated. Phosphate species are implicated in the change of the boundary layer dimensions and in the increase or decrease of diffusion as a function of surface oxide quality (porosity)
