  • Abstract
    Digitization technologies play more and more important role in relic protection now. This article summarizes the current status of digitization technology application in relic protection. Combined with work achieved in the digitization protection, restoration and development of Dunhuang Cave in recent years, the application of digitization technology in the relic protection fields such as information acquisition, display, mural copy and intelligent pattern creation of Dunhuang style is introduced. Artificial intelligence and multi-media technology was combined with arts; many techniques were developed to resolve the problems and achieved excellent results. At the end of the article, a conclusion about achievement and experience of digitization relic protection is drawn and some possible future directions are also suggested.
