  • Abstract
    Shielded chambers are used in order to obtain a “secluded environment” in terms of RF interference. The placement of filters and waveguides along with openings like doors, windows and cabling layout have a considerable deteriorating effect on shielding. The effectiveness of the chamber selection of filter is based on power handling capacity, attenuation characteristics and ease of grounding with respect to the chamber. Ferrites are used for suppression of unwanted signals. The focus of this paper is to describe on site shielding effectiveness measurement experiences. The deteriorating effects of the improper installation of filters, wire layout and other construction aspects have also been discussed
