Abstract
The new method of degradation of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in vacuum conditions is considered in the report. The combination of glows gas discharge and surface discharge on PTFE increases the efficiency of radiation degradation. The concept of this method consists in the breaking of C-C and C-F bonds for PTFE in the vacuum conditions. The vacuum conditions allow to decrease the concentration of toxic gases. The experimental results for degradation of PTFE are presented.
