Abstract
The author presents some real-life examples demonstrating the system engineering used in installing cellular repeaters. The examples given includes stretches of freeway, golf courses, tunnels and convention centers. It is concluded that cellular repeaters can be used to improve coverage on a cost-effective basis in rural areas, downtown in major cities and in all types of environments from desert to heavily forested regions. The system described, using the CMRF-800 repeater, has been virtually maintenance-free since installation over a year ago
