Abstract
The authors present look angle contours over Arab Gulf countries to enable engineers and technicians to point any earth station directly (without any calculations) towards a given satellite in the geostationary orbit. Contours over Arab Gulf countries have been presented for ARABSAT and SABS satellite systems. These contour plots could be used efficiently for transportable and television receive-only earth stations to be deployed anywhere in rural and isolated areas. The proposed method could generally be applied to any area served by a given satellite
