Abstract
Net-centric communications implies the seamless end-to-end interconnectivity between the enterprise wide area networks and the tactical theater, both for reach-back and reach-forward capabilities. No where is this truer than for the Naval forces, with significant investment in the shore, SATCOM and afloat infrastructure. But the evolution to net-centricity is putting pressure on the tactical and subtactical communications to rise to similar bandwidth, Quality-of-Service, and applications delivery requirement, as the enterprise side. Our talk explores innovative approaches, architectures and wireless technologies to realize these warfighter networked communication goals.
