  • Abstract
We present a prospective work in image fusion. Starting from registered 3D anatomical MRI and functional SPECT HMPAO images, we first derive possibility maps, modeling the degree of relationship between a voxel and a given tissue. These maps are then combined into fusion maps, which are used for the synthesis of a new functional image. This study demonstrates the feasibility of a new way to handle multimodality image processing, which seems to have promising outcomes
