Abstract
Recently, the broadband powerline communications (BPLC) has attracted more attention in communication technology. This is because it is a very cost effective way to transmit high data rate services by re-using in-building powerline cables. However, the current BPLC is bandwidth limited as the current research only consider the communication signals of frequency up to 30 MHz. This paper presents a new study to transmit UWB pulse over the powerline communications. The characteristics of UWB pulse over powerline is modelled using finite integration technique simulation.
