Abstract
In the paper problems connected with the rotor diagnostics of induction motors using frequency and time-frequency methods are presented. The most frequently used methods are discussed, like: fast Fourier transform FFT, short-time Fourier transform STFT and the wavelet transform WT. The comparative analysis of the efficiency of above mentioned methods in the failure sensing of cage rotors is presented.
