  • Abstract
    Based on the formulas for analyzing weakly coupled, aperture-type, mode-selective, directional couplers, we have designed a -60 dB directional coupler for 8 mm TE03 circular mode operation. Cold measurements of the forward and reverse coupling for the principal mode are found to be in good agreement with theory
