Abstract
The capacity of a code-division multiple-access (CDMA) network that accommodates two inherently different traffic streams is investigated. It is assumed that the services provided to the users in this network are either voice, with a predefined quality of service (QOS), or video with a QOS that is greater than that of its voice counterpart. In the proposed CDMA network, the video users are admitted for a predefined maximum channel access time of Tvideo sec, whereas voice channels are assigned with potentially unlimited access time. The probability of rejection of video & voice channel requests is then obtained for an Erlang B admission scenario for video and voice users
