Abstract
This paper applies Bayesian conditional decision feedback estimation (BCDFE) techniques to HDTV channel equalization. We propose a new blind equalization architecture which combines the BCDFE and conditional gradient algorithms to jointly estimate the transmitted data and channel parameters. The proposed structure performs smooth transitions between trained and blind operation, and can provide promising performance of equalization in HDTV fading channels
