Abstract
The author presents a view that now is the best time ever to start a new "high tech" company - particularly within the Silicon Valley area. This view is supported by two major observations. 1) The amount of venture capital available continues to increase year over year. 2) The pace of acceptance of new technological advances continues to increase year over year. Although there is more attention addressed to computers, software, the Internet and biotech than to microwaves, there are still many opportunities for RF, microwave and millimeter wave innovation
