Abstract
The paper compared Linear Kalman Filter (LKF) technique with Single Dimension Luenberger (SDL) observer technique in the application for sensorless control of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM). Both of the two reduced order state observer need not require heavy computation load for the microprocessor, The conclusion from the experiment pointed out the benefit and drawbacks such two reduced-order observers inherently can have.
