  • Abstract
    With the rapidly development of high-speed railway in the world, the number of information, documents, research results and various types of equipment about high-speed railway is growing rapidly. How to help users discover information scientific and efficient from huge information in database and how to provide users with satisfied recall and precision of retrieval are the research aim of high-speed railway semantic retrieval system. However, traditional tool used can make useless information many or use information less, so it can´t satisfy the desire of people. Semantic web on ontology- based provides a new guidance way for information retrieval, and recall and precision can be improved greatly. Under which this paper designs a semantic retrieval system for high-speed railway based on ontology and also provides a method to measure the semantic similarities between retrieval words and literature with the help of the domain ontologies. The developed system consists of four main components: ontologies building, formal processing, semantic retrieval and user interface. The experimental results show that the developed semantic retrieval system can reach the satisfied recall and precision.
