Abstract
This paper presents a complete experimental low-cost downlink setup for the transmission of QPSK-COFDM signal over standard graded index multimode fiber. Moreover, many parameters are assessed in detail such as the effect of the fiber lengths, RMS delay spread, link gain, noise figure and AM-AM/AM-PM to investigate the link performance. This experimental work has been carried out in frequency and time domains. It has been observed that the frequency selectivity becomes significant with increasing the length of the MMF. This reveals the need for COFDM.
