  • Abstract
    We propose and experimentally demonstrate a scheme for upstream transmissions in passive optical networks using electronic code division multiple access. We theoretically show the scalability of the scheme in terms of number of simultaneously supported customer units and bandwidth in the presence of optical beat interference.
