Abstract
In this paper, a modified implementation of the LINC concept (MILC) is proposed. It consists of allowing a limited and controlled amplitude variation of the separated signals such that nonlinear amplifiers can still be used. Depending on the amplifiers´ gain variation of the allowed signal dynamics, a limited-range predistortion can be used. This novel architecture offers a very efficient way for amplifying high crest factor signals. Moreover, this architecture is less sensitive to branch imbalance
