Application of GA-BP algorithm in customer classification

Customer classification is very important to enterprise development. Since genetic algorithms can overcome the shortcomings of BP neural network which has been widely used in business customer classification, a customer classification model based on GA-BP algorithm is proposed in the paper. Results of empirical study show that it is more effective than BP network. The proposed model is employed to classify supermarket customers into four categories and strategies on different customer groups are given.
