Abstract
In this paper, a numerical method is presented for analyzing the electromagnetic wave propagation problems in the case of axial symmetry. A typical numerical example, which is about the maximum power transfer problem, is presented. Meanwhile, a computer-aid design method based on geometrical optics for designing a dual-reflector antenna system with the above feature is also presented. Such system has optimum phase and amplitude distributions on the aperture. In our design, the effect of aperture blocking is also considered. The numerical and experimental results are in satisfactory agreement
