Abstract
Doppler frequency rate-of-change of a radar signal is an important parameter in passive location, but it is too subtle to accurately estimate in a single pulse. In this paper, an algorithm of Doppler frequency rate-of-change estimation is presented. A new chirp signal is obtained after intrapulse correlation accumulation by using discrete Fourier transform (DFT). Dechirping of the new chirp signal can quickly and accurately obtain the estimation value. The simulation results prove that the algorithm is feasible and its performance inclines to the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB).
