  • Abstract
This learning environment is supported by a Learning via an Unfamiliar Procedure (LVUP) on the educational software which was developed by authors. In this software, a virtual character shows a student an unfamiliar solving procedure for a subtraction problem by a student. This educational software supports to reflect the thinking process of student. If a student builds his thinking process in this software, a virtual character solves a problem in line with the procedure built by a student. All selected processes can be recorded in this educational software. Several thinking process patterns were recorded, which shows an effectiveness of the educational software by the LVUP
