  • Abstract
Five sensory functionality of mammalian vertebrates and insect invertebrates are reviewed from the smart sensor processing viewpoint. . The Hubel-Wiesel multiple resolution wavelet edge map is elaborated regarding resource sharing in contrast to the computer vision edge operator. The log-polar algotecture map, which gracefully achieves scale invariance, is elucidated Single-photon detection capabilities are given for infrared multispectral imaging for single pixel temporal space-variant changes for early tumor detection. Graphical illustration of the unique solution is given.
