Abstract
This paper examines conversion of the US Department of Defense Logistics Support Analysis Record Database structure, as defined by MIL-STD-1388-2B, for commercial use at the macro level. The paper identifies the desirable qualities of the database structure, identifies those features absolutely necessary for maintaining data integrity, and suggests a method for defining those features which should be maintained
