Abstract
We have developed a Programmable Josephson Voltage Standard (PJVS) that can produce voltages up to 20 V with a resolution of better than 0.1 μV and that does not require liquid helium. The system has two superconductor - normal metal - superconductor junction arrays connected in series and driven by two radiofrequency oscillators. The new system agrees with the primary Josephson voltage standard maintained at the National Measurement Institute, Australia, to within 10 nV.
