Abstract
In the paper errors of flicker measurement are investigated. The total error of measurement has been considered as a general population of instrumental error and one due to the imperfection of the algorithmic realisation of the flickermeter model. It has been shown that the dominating component is an error, whose reasons are oscillations of the instantaneous flicker level on the output of an integrator, imitating the reaction of the brain. The appearance of mirror frequency component during demodulation is also considered. It gives an error up to 42% in the case when the modulated signal is a sequence of rectangular pulses, whose frequency is roughly 22 Hz. The algorithmic ways of error reduction are proposed
