Abstract
The mathematical model is considered, that enables to estimate influence of such nonlinear phenomenon as stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) on an overall performance of a communication system. Dependence of the maximal length of the communication line limited by SRS effect on an interval between channels, their quantities in system, bit rate and different types of optical fibres is calculated
