Abstract
Switching operations cause transient currents in the primary circuits in substations. For the prediction of the interference currents in the secondary circuits caused by the transient currents in the primary circuits, wideband frequency models of the current transformers (CT) are needed The paper presents a modified synthesis method for the current transfer function. After the current transfer characteristics of the CT are measured, the wideband frequency models of the CT can be set up with the synthesis method. The method is simple and effective.
