Abstract
The author describes the expert planning systems (EPS) and the business-management planning system. He describes the information database components. The four subsystem are for: resource scheduling, market-intelligence, technical expertise; and sale programme. The knowledge base is then described. This is comprised of a set of rules for manipulating information. Finally he describes the inference engine which applies the rules to the information creating advice for the user. The latter is done manually. But the intention is to automate this too
