  • Abstract
    A MOS-controlled smart power synchronous rectifier structure is proposed for the first time. This structure is used to provide an alternative approach from the previous BiCMOS design (see IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, vol.14, no.2, p.308-15, 1999). The new design can reduce the process complexity and, at the same time, maintain a similar high performance on synchronous rectification. Both the design concept and the proposed process flow are described in detail. Experimental evaluations on the printed circuit board were carried out to demonstrate its electrical performance
