Abstract
A formulation of the problem of radiation and input impedance characteristics of microstrip patches is presented. A dyadic Green´s function is developed by considering a Hertzian dipole printed on a grounded substrate [1]. A two dimensional current distribution is obtained by considering the patch as a printed two dimensional transmission line.
