Planning and implementation of large scale enterprise data center: The Case of China National Petroleum Company

This article made an approach to information planning and engineering management via business analysis, system architecture, technology planning, and project management, meanwhile, combined with the case of China National Petroleum Company Data Center Project, it also expounded some key issues that large-scale enterprise information system project implementation process should pay attention to. The China National Petroleum Company´s enterprise data center planning & implementation, adopted information engineering methodology and project life circle as theoretical guide, conformed to international/Chinese domestic related standards, as well as established its own characteristic management model. Originality and value: In this paper, other Chinese and foreign enterprises with large-scale data center planning & implementation may obtain some valuable references.
