  • Abstract
    Conventional controller cannot get good controlling performance in the control of hydroelectric generating unit system because the system is non-linear and complicated. A new controller was designed based on fuzzy neural network to control hydroelectric generating unit. Fuzzy reasoning rules, member function and parameters may be trained on-line via neural network. So the designed controller has self-adapting character in controlling process. RBF neural network was used to identify and predict the relation between input and output of hydroelectric generating unit system. Simulating experiment shows that the designed controller has good controlling performance than conventional fuzzy controller and the designed RBF neural network has good identifying ability
