Abstract
The development of new applications (SDH, FTTL, FTTB, FTTH,...) leads to new challenges for the power system. Leaving the specific environment of telecommunication centres, power supplies and batteries have to comply with new requirements (climatic, electromagnetic, safety) as they are located close to the final user. Different architectures including remote powering, or local powering must be considered by this new type of power supply. The paper presents the results and performances of a prototype of a 100 W 24 V DC power supply, usable in fiber access network (FTTB/FTTC)
