Abstract
This paper elaborates on current practices in managing Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Discussions presented in this paper are based on a pilot study of ICT management practices within a group of organizations within the Canterbury region of New Zealand. The paper reviews recent developments in the application of and investment on ICTs. It looks at the reasons of ever-increasing scrutiny on the ways in which ICT solutions are planned, introduced and managed.
