Abstract
This paper presents a blind adaptive beamformer in an OFDM system for burst interference suppression. The proposed algorithm is based on the least square-constant modulus algorithm (LS-CMA), which exploits the constant modulus property of the OFDM data carriers. The algorithm is consisted of: (1) compensating channel characters by pilot-symbol-assisted estimation. (2) updating the filter coefficients of adaptive beamformer with LS-CMA. Computer simulations show that: (1) the proposed algorithm is capable of rejecting co-channel interference that affects OFDM system, and (2) the BER performance is better than that of OFDM with common constant modulus (CM) beamformer
