Abstract
The development of power electronics has increased the need for a stable dc power supply, e.g. the electricity generation from photovoltaic needs a dc-dc converter to stabilize the voltage output. One well-known topology is called buckboost converter that consists of a switch, an inductor, a diode and a capacitor. This paper presents a design of robust buckboost converter using PID controller in which the parameters are determined by H-optimization technique with backstepping method. This technique can deal with error in modelling the converter or disturbances. The results of implementation are presented that show the performances of the developed robust dc-dc converter.
