Abstract
The integration of empirical cellular radio-frequency data with the TIREM (Terrain Integrated Rough Earth Model) propagation loss model is investigated. Measurement data consisting of signal strengths and corresponding geographic locations are examined in order to quantify their effectiveness in calibrating the variabilities used in specific regions to predict field strength. The measurement data are integrated with predictive studies, and the resulting output is examined in order to identify improvements in the accuracy of the predictive process as well as to substantiate recommendations for the application of this integration methodology
