Abstract
Nowadays, distributed development has been a common form of software development. Most researches in this field, on the way to understand challenges and propose solutions, are based on case studies. This causes that findings are confined to particular situations. That is why in this field more analytical and theoretical researches are needed. This paper indicates the results of an analysis of case- and field-study literature. The aim is deeply understanding of indicated challenges and proposed solutions in empirical researches so far. Also some relations between challenges and solutions are made up, and needed future researches in this area are discussed.
