  • Abstract
Under the requirements of desired terminal position changing and on-line reconfigurable control and guidance, an on-board trajectory generation technology based on the footprint analysis for a glide vehicle with a double-pulse rocket engine is presented in this paper. It is firstly judged by footprint analysis to determine whether the new target is within the old footprint area. If not, the rocket engine ignites by the logic obtained from the analysis of optimal flight range by the method of hp-adaptive Gauss pseudospectral method (hp -GPM). Then, an on-board trajectory generation method based on powered quasi-equilibrium glide condition (QEGC) is used to guide the vehicle to the new target. Simulation is done to indicate the reliability, applicability, and effectiveness of the method of powered on-board trajectory generation, footprint calculation, and ignition time determination.
