    The paper discusses details of tests conducted with important features of the PALplus system and, based on surveys and the continuing series of broadcast tests, describes a simulation model enabling PALplus developments to be related to the current PAL terrestrial service. It also discusses methods of conveying signals between studio centres and transmitters which enable the full PALplus quality to be broadcast
