Results achieved with transmissions of HDMAC during the last two years

Describes in general terms the demonstrations that EUREKA 95 has given of HDMAC transmission. EUREKA 95 has repeatedly shown that HDMAC transmission of 1250/50 HDTV program material of all types is viable. Using various BSS and FSS satellites, glass fibre, hyperband cable, microwave links, VCR, laser vision and MVDS, good quality transmission of HDTV can be carried out on a routine basis. Additionally commercially available D2MAC receivers have been able to receive and display the compatible HDMAC picture. Major events have allowed EUREKA 95 to show that the project has been proceeding according to the EUREKA 95 work plan without delay and with an increasing confidence in the quality of the system
