  • Abstract
    In this paper we study the radiation characteristics of the cavity backed antenna in a conducting cone. First the FEM-BI method is presented to compute the electric field in the cavity backed antenna. Then we compute the radiation characteristic of the antenna with the reciprocity theorem. The numerical result is compared with the experimental result. The two results agree very well with each other.
