  • Abstract
CAC is one of the most important parts of resource management in wireless cellular networks to keep the system work stable by accepting or rejecting users´ service requests. A call admission control(CAC) algorithm(DQ-CAC) based on unfair quality of service(QoS) degradation and queue buffers in wireless mobile networks is proposed. The handoff call dropping probability(CDP) for the high priority, call blocking probability(CBP) and degradable frequency(DF) are reduced by degrading some tolerable quality and bringing in queue buffers at the time of supplying insufficient available bandwidth. Simulation results show the algorithm not only lowered CDP and CBP but also reduced DF with a fixed degradable ratio. As a result, DQ-CAC improves system loads and meets the needs of users with different priority.
