  • Abstract
In communication based train control system, due to the use of large capacity communication, more operational information such as advisory speed can be sent between train and track-side. This paper introduces an analytical based method to use advisory speed as guidance for delayed train entering station. The entering station process is divided into two phases to be analyzed. Through the analysis, the advisory speed and optimized speed profile are given. By the use of advisory speed, train can avoid conflicts at platform and reduce the running time for entering station. The energy consumptions, power demand and delay reduction during the entering station process are also estimated through simulations. The simulation results demonstrate the dependability and availability of the proposed method.
